The John Crane Power-Gen Europe stand had something to interest every visitor. It emphasised both the extended product range that John Crane provides – which includes mechanical seals, advanced bearing technologies, specialised filtration systems plus analysis and measurement systems – and the company’s ability to support customers via its global network of service and support facilities. The versatility of John Crane’s mechanical seal range was a prominent theme of the Power-Gen stand, as typified by the recently launched Type 3740 cartridge split seal. This allows both wet-running or dry-running service applications to be served by a single design based on a common platform and so can accommodate a broad spectrum of services. Also featured on John Crane’s stand was its range of new Metastream M Series ZMH flexible membrane coupling which improves on the high standards of the existing ZMC model and is specifically designed to withstand hot and humid cooling tower environments. It was displayed alongside examples of John Crane’s M Series and T Series couplings which provide the same levels of performance, reliability and safety and which allow customers to satisfy relevant industry standards.
