Speed is of the essence for AWI

Alloy Wire International (AWI) made a global impact recently when it brought its unrivalled speed of delivery to an audience featuring industry specialists from 86 countries.

The company had five European sales and technical specialists on hand at Valve World Expo in Dusseldorf and a lot of the discussion was about spring wire for use in valve springs that can withstand high temperatures and are extremely corrosive.

Over the course of the three days, staff met with 70 new contacts that could lead to new orders, as well as holding 20 meetings with exhibitors who are already tapping into AWI’s ability to supply a wide range of nickel alloys in unrivalled three-week lead times.

“Valve World Expo was again a really important show and gave us the opportunity to demonstrate our 60-strong range of exotic alloys to companies supplying into the oil and gas sector,” explained Tom Mander, Sales Executive at AWI.

“The Cobalt-Chrome alloys Phynox (UNS R30003) and MP35N, plus the Nickel-Chrome Inconel 625 and Inconel 718 alloys all proved extremely popular, as did our ability to provide assurances that we can deliver within 21 days of the order being placed.”

He continued: “Security of supply is what all companies are looking to achieve and this is something we know we can offer.”

Alloy Wire International’s continued investment in the contemporary design of its new stand drew a large number of visitors from all over Europe, with delegates arriving from Austria, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Switzerland.

Lots of positive conversations were held in the halls, with the main focus of conversations being around our ability to provide high-performance and anti-corrosive materials that are EU/DFARS compliant.

Existing clients and potential customers were also very interested to learn about our decision to increase our stockholding to a record-breaking 200 tonnes.
