2015 Industrial automation engineering scholarship

ASCO Numatics has announced the recipients of the 2015 ASCO Numatics Industrial Automation Engineering Scholarship.

The two recipients were each awarded a USD 5,000 scholarship to support their pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in engineering. They are Emily Doyon of Biddeford, Maine, studying chemical engineering degree program at the at the University of Maine, and Brad Harvey of Twinsburg, Ohio, studying for a civil engineering degree at the University of Akron.

ASCO Numatics will support the winners’ studies with an additional USD 1,000 grant to the engineering epartments at each of their universities.

ASCO Numatics announced the scholarship winners at PMMI’s annual Amazing Packaging Race at PACK EXPO 2015 in Las Vegas. ASCO Numatics’ sponsorship of the race helps support the PMMI Education and Training Foundation, which provides scholarships to packaging students from PMMI partner schools.

The ASCO Numatics Industrial Automation Engineering Scholarship program, now in its eighth year, has awarded a total of USD 80,000 in merit-based scholarships to 16 students, based on their potential for leadership and for making a significant contribution to the industrial automation engineering profession, particularly as it relates to the application of fluid control and fluid power technologies.
