Emerson Process Management (USA) has announced that it recently celebrated the 50th anniversary of its Bettis® brand of pneumatic, hydraulic, gas/hydraulic and electric valve actuators. The first Bettis pneumatic actuator was shipped to a local controls company in April 1955, in response to a client’s need to automate lubricating plug valves. Distinguished throughout plants and facilities by its trademarked orange product color, Bettis actuators are the cornerstone of Emerson’s broad valve automation offering.
