Introducing AME 110NL(X) modulating actuators

Danfoss is excited to announce the release of its new AME 110NL(X) modulating actuators for AB-QM 4.0 pressure independent balancing control valves. The new actuators are significantly upgraded and designed to enhance the performance and efficiency of hydronic HVAC systems. These advanced actuators replace the existing AME 110NL(X) and AME 120NL models, bringing a host of new features and improvements tailored to meet the evolving needs of the market.

The AME 110NL(X) modulating actuators are engineered to deliver high-precision control for AB-QM 4.0 Pressure Independent balancing Control Valves (PICV) in the DN 15-32 range. The standout enhancements is the built-in digital step motor. It has a 15x higher resolution of 4,000 positions over the full valve stroke compared to its predecessor which has a resolution of 256 steps. This ensures unparalleled accuracy and control in HVAC applications.

Technically, the new actuators boost several notable improvements. The IP rating has been upgraded from IP42 to IP54, providing better water resistance and enabling installation in any direction. The actuators also support both 24V AC and DC power supplies, with automatic detection of the power type. The speed is now selectable at 3 or 12 sec./mm. Additionally, the actuators feature advanced electronic calibration and valve stroke detection, ensuring optimal performance and easy setup.
