Name change of a KITZ Group company in Japan

KITZ Corporation announces that its consolidated subsidiary, Shimizu Alloy Mfg. Co. has decided to change its name to KITZ SGS Corporation from April 1, 2025.

Shimizu Alloy Mfg. Co. manufactures and sells various valves for water and sewage infrastructure, as well as water treatment equipment. To mark its 30-year milestone as a member of the KITZ Group, it has decided to change its name to KITZ SGS Corporation. The new name is a combination of “KITZ” and the well-known registered trademark “SGS” through the product.

Starting from January 2025, the KITZ Group will transition to strategic business units (SBUs). This is to achieve further growth by operating the business more efficiently through a market-oriented organization. Under the SBUs, Shimizu Alloy Manufacturing Co. belongs to the Environmental Solutions BU. In addition to manufacturing a variety of water and sewage valves, it actively develops solutions to improve the aging water infrastructure in small municipalities. Moving forward, it will further unify as one Group and synergize the efforts to deliver products and services that consistently meet customer expectations.

From April 1, 2025, Shimizu Alloy Mfg. Co. will take a new step forward as KITZ SGS Corporation. With its continued commitment to “contributing to society through water,” it aims to earn societal approval and instill employee pride.
