USA Carter Valve Inc., a Colorado-based manufacturer of industrial flow control solutions, announced the official launch of its CARTERUS Trademark six-eccentric butterfly valve. This new valve is engineered to provide reliable, zero-leakage performance and an extended operational lifespan for critical service applications across a wide range of demanding industries.
The development of the CARTERUS valve addresses persistent challenges faced in sectors such as liquefied natural gas (LNG), petrochemical processing, and aerospace, where traditional valves often present performance limitations. The six-eccentric design offers a solution for applications involving extreme temperatures, high pressures, and the need for absolute sealing integrity.
“Our objective with the CARTERUS was to engineer a valve that systematically removes the typical points of failure and inefficiency in critical processes,” said Robert Carter, Chief Engineer at USA Carter Valve Inc. “This technology provides a quantifiable performance improvement, ensuring operational safety and lowering the total cost of ownership for our partners. It represents a fundamental shift in how engineers can approach system design, moving from compensating for limitations to designing for new possibilities.”
The CARTERUS valve also incorporates features aimed at simplifying maintenance and maximising equipment uptime. The seal ring is designed for non-directional installation, eliminating the need for complex orientation and reducing the risk of human error during replacement. Additionally, chamfered edges on core components prevent accidental damage to sealing surfaces during assembly. This streamlined process drastically reduces Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), directly boosting plant uptime and operational profitability.
