ThermOmegaTech has introduced the HAT/FP automatic freeze protection valve, designed to safeguard water resupply lines from freezing.
The valve uses a thermostatic wax actuator to monitor ambient or water temperatures, automatically controlling flow to prevent frozen or burst pipes, reducing downtime and costly repairs while minimizing water waste.
Installed at the lowest point or dead-leg branch, the HAT/FP valve initiates flow when the actuator senses its set-point temperature, typically 35°F, and remains open until the discharge water rises approximately 5°F above the set-point, typically 40°F. It can be installed in both standard and reverse flow orientations, providing versatile freeze-protection for a variety of applications.
