Chemtech Industrial Valves Ltd has announced a major milestone with the supply of 100 patented Line Blinds across leading steel plants in India, just two years after receiving its patent. The company reported that this achievement represents a significant step forward in industrial safety and gas-line isolation technology.
The patented Line Blind technology has been deployed across pipelines ranging from DN 100 mm to DN 600 mm, with expansion already underway to accommodate larger diameters up to DN 900 mm and future development planned up to DN 1500 mm. The solution is being widely adopted in industries handling hazardous gases such as coke oven gas, mixed gas, blast furnace gas, LD (BOF) gas, and nitrogen, with an emphasis on zero leakage and personnel safety.
Chemtech says its tool-free Line Blind system reduces line-blanking time by up to 95%, lowers manpower requirements, ensures full isolation, and improves workplace safety—particularly in high-risk environments like steel plants. Repeat orders and installations in greenfield projects, including a major blast furnace development, underline growing customer confidence.
The Thane-based manufacturer, founded in 1997, is now targeting adoption across the ports, oil and gas, chemical, marine, fertilizer, and power sectors, while scaling its design for larger and higher-pressure pipelines. Operating from a facility near Mumbai, Chemtech aims to leverage current momentum to expand globally and advance industrial safety solutions for critical pipeline applications.
