Vesconite confirms PFAS-free standard bearing material

Vesconite Bearings has confirmed that its long-established Standard Vesconite bearing material is completely free of PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances), a status it has maintained since its development in 1969. This includes the absence of PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), a fluoropolymer increasingly regulated under international environmental legislation due to its persistence in the environment.

With tightening PFAS regulations across the European Union, the United States, and other jurisdictions, Vesconite Bearings provides manufacturers, plant operators, and OEMs with a proven, compliant alternative that maintains high performance. Standard Vesconite’s dry-running capability is enabled by internal lubrication, reducing the need for external greasing. This ensures smoother operation, lower maintenance, and extended service life without relying on environmentally contentious additives.

Standard Vesconite is suitable for a wide range of bearing and wear-part applications in industries such as agriculture, water treatment, mining, construction, marine, and food processing. Its dimensional stability, low coefficient of friction, and chemical resistance guarantee reliable performance even in challenging operating conditions.
