Nittan India doubles valve production capacity at Sri City plant

Nittan India Tech Private Limited (NIT), the Indian subsidiary of Japan’s Nittan Valve Company Limited, has doubled production capacity at its Sri City plant with the inauguration of a newly expanded manufacturing facility. The expansion adds 7,350 sq. m of built-up area, effectively doubling the existing 3.5-acre footprint to a total of around seven acres. With an additional investment of ₹41 crore, NIT’s total investment in India now stands at ₹257 crore, creating 100 new jobs in the region.

Speaking at the inauguration, Young Oh Ko, Managing Director of NIT, said the enhanced facility will increase output from 1 million to 2 million valves per month. “This is a milestone, not the finish line. We will continue to grow and ensure NIT remains a shining name for decades to come,” he remarked.

Lee Tai Hwan, President and Representative Director of Nittan Corporation, described the expansion as a reflection of Nittan’s growing presence in India, crediting the achievement to the dedication of the Indian team and rising market demand. Mr. Sunder, Vice-President of Hyundai Motor India and chief guest at the event, praised the development as a testament to NIT’s commitment to quality and excellence. Ravindra Sannareddy, Managing Director of Sri City, congratulated NIT on its journey since 2014, highlighting the team’s precision, teamwork, and perseverance in establishing a world-class manufacturing operation.
