In the EcoVadis ranking, the global benchmark for sustainability, Freudenberg Sealing Technologies has increased its rating to 66 points. EcoVadis uses 21 criteria to evaluate companies worldwide in four areas: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The current score is four points higher than last year and validates a significant improvement in how the company implements its sustainability strategy.
The company sees the bronze medal as an incentive for further improvements. “Almost three-quarters of the companies that applied for a rating scored lower than we did,” says Jens Trabert, Global Director of Sustainability at Freudenberg Sealing Technologies, assessing the ranking. “This is a success, but not an end point. We aim to further improve our sustainability performance.”
EcoVadis makes it easier for companies to work with international customers and opens up new business opportunities – a key factor in markets that are increasingly focused on sustainability. The EcoVadis ranking is used by over 130,000 companies to ensure transparency in global supply chains and is increasingly requested by customers.
