Parker introduces PE06 proportional pressure reducing valve

Parker Hannifin Corporation, the global leader in motion and control technologies, is advancing brake-by-wire technologies with the introduction of its PE06 proportional pressure reducing valve, which combines a proportional valve piston with an internal hydraulic feedback piston. This design, showcased at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026, allows precise control of the reduced pressure along with a high-volume flow over the valve. Other benefits include a low internal leakage rate and a proven, reliable, and robust design. Brake-by-wire is an increasingly common technology, particularly for off-highway vehicles. It replaces mechanical links with electronic signals to improve safety, efficiency, braking response time, and design flexibility, while also saving on the weight and space needed for heavy hydraulic components.

By providing a redundant architecture of the braking systems, it reduces the risk of catastrophic failures in cases of nonperformance of one circuit or electronic path. Parker’s new, compact proportional pressure reducing valve enables advanced brake-by-wire systems by providing fast, precise hydraulic pressure control for electric/electrohydraulic braking. Such technology is critical for autonomous and automated vehicle control systems. It is a key part of the growing effort to create hydraulic-free cabins, which help to reduce noise, heat, and production time, since many cabs come preassembled.

In addition, a solenoid connection AMP Junior Timer and DT04-2P “Deutsch” are now available with an integrated suppressor diode (optional) for serial quantities upon request. The AMP timer was previously available with a suppressor diode, but the Deutsch connector is new.
