Valves for innovative energy plant

FCx RCM Prometal, part of the global FCx flow control organisation, has secured a major contract to supply flow control products to one of the most innovative power stations in Europe. The company, which was also heavily involved in establishing the original specification, will supply cast steel valves, forged steel valves, ball valves, steam traps and check valves for the Termoconvertitore of Dalmine co-generation plant near Bergamo. The plant, being built by Italian textile giant the Radici Group, will incinerate solid urban refuse to produce steam and then electricity. The total value of the order to FCx RCM Prometal is around EUR 155,000. The plant is the first of its type to be built in Europe and should form the blueprint for others in the future.
