Saudi’s Haradh gas plant

The Foxboro Company, a unit of Invensys Process Automation, has won an automation contract for the Saudi Aramco Haradh Gas Plant in Saudi Arabia. The multi-million-dollar award was made by the two “Lump Sum Turnkey Contractors,” JGC and Technip. JGC is responsible for the design, construction, and commissioning of the gas plant, while Technip has responsibility for all utility and offsites areas. In its role as Process Control Systems (PCS) Vendor, Foxboro will supply and implement a Foxboro I/A Series control system, a Triconex safety system, vibration monitoring systems, an operator training simulator, and a maintenance training system. In addition, Foxboro will provide transmitters and implement its well-proven gas plant applications, including compressor controls and advanced process control (APC). System engineering, design, staging, and testing services for the project will be performed at a dedicated Foxboro project facility in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts. Site acceptance testing supervision and on-going technical support services will be performed in-Kingdom by Invensys’s Middle East organisation.
