Locked valves prevent spills

Conbraco has provided a safety-lock solution for engineers handling environmental enhancement at a Huntsman Petrochemicals facility at North Tees, UK. Huntsman briefed Wests Engineering to develop a nitrogen purging system for their jetty loading hoses. This was to limit risk of loss of product during ship loading and unloading operations. The purging system solution required an arrangement of special spring lockable ball valves. Through the local office of pipe and valves distributor Pipeline Center, Wests Engineering placed their specification with Conbraco’s valve-building facility at Manchester where, Conbraco fulfilled the order for 75 manually operated top entry valves fitted with purpose-designed locks to prevent accidental opening, regardless of the valve orientation.
