Smith Flow Control Ltd has introduced easi-drive, a portable valve operating system where valve size, pressure rating or work environmental conditions would normally demand a permanent dedicated actuator or would require a work crew. Designed to operate in/with minimum facilities, easi-drive is available in three operational modes, pneumatic, hydraulic or electric. In any production or manufacturing facility, easi-drive can be run on adjacent plant air or from available single-phase electrical supply. easi-drive is fully portable and can be supplied to manage any single valve or bank of valves. The system consists of three elements, drive gun, valve coupler and power pack. All torque ranges can be catered for with variable torque adjustment capability as standard.
