FCx Ubel & Ventil secures Corus contract

FCx Ubel & Ventil, the Netherlands-based specialist distributor of FCx, has recently created a special partnership to secure vital preferred valve supplier status with one of the world’s largest manufacturers of metal products. Corus will now use the company, which created an alliance with Klinger Picoff to increase the range of products and help secure the deal for valves and valve solutions. The agreement was all the more remarkable because Corus is streamlining its list of suppliers to about 20 key suppliers for mechanical trading goods. FCx Ubel & Ventil’s consortium was one of those in the final selection. One of the major areas of supply will be to the Corus IJmuiden facility. Here, liquid steel is rolled into a range of hot-rolled products. Coil and sheet steels are produced in a wide variety of specifications, manufactured to European or other national and international standards as agreed. The products then find their way into markets such as the automotive and transport industries, building and construction, ships and freight containers and general engineering. The agreement will also see the FCx Ubel & Ventil consortium providing service 24 hours a day, seven days a week and supplying standard product together with special application valves which will be tailor-made according to the individual requirement.
