Chemical giant DuPont has formed an alliance with automation specialist Honeywell. Through this alliance, DuPont expects to reduce the costs of designing, installing, and implementing process control solutions. It also anticipates quicker resolution of problems, faster bottom-line reductions in cost, and improved product quality. This alliance also enables DuPont to provide input into Honeywell’s technical direction to help solve complex chemical processing requirements. Honeywell’s relationship with DuPont extends over 20 years, and Honeywell has been a preferred supplier of distributed control systems to DuPont for the past ten years.
