New on/off valve from Jordan

Jordan Valve has just released a piston-actuated, on/off version of its popular Mark 75 Wafer Valve. The Mark 75 combines a wafer-style body with Jordan’s well known Sliding Gate Seat to provide a small, light-weight alternative to the traditional globe-style control valve. Now, with a new piston actuator, the Mark 75 is available for on/off or modulating applications.
Jordan’s Sliding Gate Seat design allows the controlled media to move straight through the valve body rather than moving through the “s-curve” common in globe-style valve bodies. While Jordan’s Sliding Gate has long been staple for steam and utility service applications, the design is also suitable for most liquids and gases. The wafer design is much lighter than the typical flanged bodies common on pneumatic control valves. Some globe-style valves can weigh as much as 400 or even 500 pounds in larger line sizes. A 6″ Jordan MK75 never weighs more than 90 pounds even with a positioner, while the face-to-face dimension of a 6″ valve is less than 2-1/2″ inches.
