FCx Truflo Marine has secured an order for advanced air stations designed to control vital functions on three new destroyers scheduled to be built in Korea. It is the first major Korean order secured by FCx Truflo Marine. The Bumhan Compressor package used by Daewoo shipping on the Korean 4800-ton KDX II destroyer is to feature FCx Truflo Marine air stations. Each ship set includes two gas turbine starts, a diesel engine start, a torpedo air control station, a pressure maintaining valve block, an isolating valve block and a distribution block.
FCx Truflo Marine air stations are highly technical products that offer marine vessel builders significant space and weight savings. The stations, usually designed and built to order, have been installed into ships and submarines for naval forces world-wide. Recent orders include air stations for use in submarines for the Italian and German navies, South African navy frigates and Turkish mine hunter vessels.
