Red Valve Company Inc. has introduced a control pinch valve with enclosed mechanical parts and variable venturi flow control. Centerline closure is useful for larger size pinch valves installed on abrasive and high velocity applications. The resilent elastomer sleeve, closing on centerline, produces a smooth, venturi flow path that outlasts gate, plug, ball and stellite coated control valves. The elastomer sleeve trim is the only wetted part, eliminating packing valve seats and mechanical parts, which are the source of the high maintenance. These valves are available in sizes 4–36″, complete with linear, pneumatic or electropneumatic positioners. There are also a variety of fail open/fail close pneumatic, hydraulic or electric actuators.
