LG Ball Valves has appointed Nick Thurston as both shareholder and Sales Director. Mr Thurston has 20 years’ experience in the oil and gas niche valve related markets from his time as Managing Director of Solent & Pratt and more recently with Tomoe Tritec. He joins Peter Lyon and Don Gisbourne who between them have over 34 years experience in the metal seated ball valve industry. LG Ball Valves manufacture bespoke spring loaded metal to metal seated ball valves for high pressure hydrogen, hot oils, catalyst, molten salts and other abrasive and high temperature applications. Materials of construction include the various carbon and stainless steels, and also Hastelloy®, Nickel Alloys, Monels®, Inconels®, Titanium and Duplex and Super Duplex Stainless Steels. With this proven market leading product, LG Ball Valves intends to not only expand its current customer base but also break into new markets where temperature / media is problematic for standard valves. This will be achieved by the introduction of new marketing tools such as revised catalogues, cut-away valves and digital presentations. World-wide agency agreements will be formalised and support for its current Canadian and USA agents strengthened. Together with the planned increase in marketing activities, LG Ball valves intends to increase its production capacity by way of inward investment in larger premises, new CNC Machine tools and both office and production staff.
