Moog has officially opened its new facility in the WaiGaoQiao Free Trade Zone, close to its existing facility in JinQiao, in the Pudong district of Shanghai. The new facility will operate as a supply logistics centre, providing greater flexibility and speed in the import and supply of Moog products to its customers in China. This increased focus on efficient management of logistics, information and delivery will improve responsiveness to customers in China and after-sales support. Moog JinQiao facility produces electrohydraulic and pneumatic servo valves for the Chinese market and for export to various parts of the world. Also located in the JinQiao facility are Moog authentic servo valve repair and service capabilities, and engineering functions that provide application specific solutions for the growing customer base in the China region.
Officiating the ceremony were senior Moog representatives, Robert T Brady, Chairman and CEO of Moog, Martin Berardi, Vice President of Moog and Sean Gartland, General Manager of Moog Asia-Pacific. The new facility was officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, revealing its new name, Moog Motion Controls (Shanghai) Co.
