Emerson has launched its new Fisher GX control valve and actuator system for the European market. Designed in accordance with European standards, the new design GX is a compact and rugged globe-style valve system that can control a wide range of process liquids, gases and vapours. The operations and maintenance savings delivered by use of the GX valve system with the new integrally mounted Fisher Fieldvue DVC2000 digital valve controller reduces total cost of ownership. The combination provides a final control solution that is easy to apply, and simplifies operation and maintenance. A multi-lingual product configurator is free with the design GX; it enables complete specification of the valve system, simplifying valve sizing and automating actuator selection. Integrated options, including a position transmitter and limit switches also help to simplify selection by reducing the need for additional engineering and specification. The push-button interface of the DVC2000 and the multi-lingual local display simplify operation by enabling local configuration and set up, while its linkage-less position feedback system simplifies calibration. Built-in real-time diagnostics and valve performance monitoring enables the GX with Fieldvue to deliver valve and process health information to help users improve plant operations and maintenance.
