Parker presents new products

At Offshore Northern Seas 2004 (ONS: 24–27 August 2004), Parker Instrumentation will show innovations for offshore applications, which aim to reduce the size and weight of pressure and flow instrument installations and to simplify deepwater applications. To be launched at the show is a larger size of Pro-Bloc – Parker’s one-piece double-block-and-bleed “monoflange” manifold. Now available with ball valves in sizes up to 25mm (1 inch) to accommodate higher flow rates, the manifold eliminates numerous joints – and potential leak paths – compared with double-block-and-bleed arrangements constructed from discrete components. – Parker will also exhibit an extension of the monoflange style of double-block-and-bleed manifolds, which provides two instrument connections instead of one. This allows an assembly to support both a local visual gauge, and an electronic transmitter that connects to the remote control rooms. Parker will also be highlighting two other innovations. The first is a range of tube fittings that can handle pressures up to 15,000PSI / 1034bar but which operates using the rapid-assembly compression principle – saving up to 20 minutes per connection compared with traditional cone-and-thread fittings. – The second product is a modular substrate for downstream analytical and laboratory instrumentation flow control systems.
