The new In-Flow Series of mass flow meters from Bronkhorst are modular instruments according to IP65 (dust and waterproof). They can be combined with control valves, either integrated or close-coupled, whereby gas flows are measured and controlled within the overall range of 0.2mln/min up to 11000m3n/h air equivalent. The instruments are Atex approved for use in Category 3, Zone 2 hazardous areas. Bronkhorst High-Tech have developed their latest digital mass flow meters/controllers by following the “multi-bus” principle. The basic pc-board on the instrument contains all of the general functions needed for measurement and control, including alarm, totalisation and diagnostic functions. It has analogue I/O-signals and also an RS232 connection as a standard feature. In addition to this there is the possibility of integrating an interface board with DeviceNet, Profibus-DP, Modbus or Flow-Bus protocol. The latter is a fieldbus specifically designed by Bronkhorst High-Tech for their mass flow metering and control solutions. Applications can be found in process control systems as for example in food, chemical and petrochemical plants.
