Parker Instrumentation has published a guide to compact double-block-and-bleed manifolds for connecting process instrumentation. The guide focuses on manifolds with flange interfaces, and on two types of integrated construction that reduce the potential number of leak paths compared with assemblies fabricated from discrete components. Two types of manifold are detailed: “monoflanges”, and a two-piece design called Pro-Bloc. Both allow instruments to be attached to process lines. The 20-page guide details the numerous configurations and options available including bore sizes from 10 to 25 mm, construction material, valve type and specification, flange details, and outlet connections.
