Swagelok Co. has received Transportation Pressure Equipment Directive (TPED) approval (Directive 99/36/EC) for its 3N severe-service union-bonnet series needle valve. The TPED approval covers the design and manufacture of cylinder valves for use in the transport of dangerous goods. It is applicable to products used in the EU. The 3N series needle valves are for use in severe-service applications in the chemical, petrochemical, energy, and oil & gas industries. Offered in stainless steel, the valves feature working pressures up to 5000psig and temperatures from –68 to 149F.
