For fluid power equipment, Brownell has introduced a range of low-pressure relief valves for use in a wide range of industrial applications. Low pressures can be destructive or cause malfunction to fluid power, storage vessels and pressure sensitive instruments. There are many practical applications where a positive atmosphere of several bar within a vessel is the normal operating level. A negative pressure of just a few millibars however could result in permanent damage. Low-pressure relief valves are also used to prevent damage to equipment being transported in aircraft and helicopters under rapid decompression conditions. Brownell Low Pressure Relief Valves are available in a range of sizes from 6mm to 150 mm in diameters to suit flow rate requirements of 0.1 litres/min to 10,000 litres/min depending on the maximum differential pressure.
