PID valve controllers

Amot has introduced its new stand-alone electric PID valve controllers in panel mounting or complete control panel formats designed for fully configurable operation with installation, setup and maintenance, along with advanced solid state relays. Model 8071D is a universal panel-mount controller and the 8072D wall mounting control panel is a compact unit incorporating the controller and two solid state relays in a splash-proof enclosure approved to IP67. The panel unit can also be used with the SSRs to provide a direct high-power interface to a valve actuator. Controlling the position of electrically or electropneumatically actuated valves, these devices were developed for Amot G Series temperature control valves. Universal sensor inputs maximise system design flexibility by using two- or three-wire RTDs, thermocouples and standard 4-20mA signals. Featuring two logic level valve control outputs and digital filtering user-configurable to meet the needs of a wide range of systems, the controllers have two large displays clearly indicating process and set point values. Input accuracies are within 0.05% using RTDs, 0.25% with thermocouples and 0.1% for 4-20mA signals.
