Technip, in association with INEOS as the licensor, has been awarded a contract by Liaoning Huajin Chemicals for a high-density polyethylene plant to be built in Panjin (China). The contract covers the basic engineering design for the plant and the precommissioning support. The plant, based on INEOS’ Innovene S technology, will produce 300,000 tons/year of high density polyethylene intended for the manufacture of resistant plastics. The plant is scheduled for completion at the end of 2008 for a commissioning in March 2009.
