Chemline’s new HC Series high capacity ball valves are large port 6in ball valves manufactured in PVC, Polypropylene and PVDF. This valve is suitable for sewage, mild slurry or vacuum lines where an unobstructed flow path is required. The valve offers low-pressure loss; no cavity between body & ball; and a low stem torque. Features include: large port; low fluid velocities – minimal line velocity increase through these valves means lower abrasion if solids are present; compact dimensions; minimum end-to-end length; easy maintessure loss; Cv value of 1880; no obstruenance; bolt-in cartridge body slips out in-line; light weight; minimal stress on piping system; the low dead volume eliminates sediment build-up; cushioned Teflon® ball seats; elastomer cushions provide a good closure seal and smooth operation; Teflon® stem and trunion bearings; assure low torque and maintenance free operation; and the valve is available flanged to 8in. The Cv value of these valves flanged to 8in is approximately equal to that of an 8in butterfly valve but offers no obstruction in flow.
