PVI Holdings has announced that it has acquired Baton Rouge-based valve supplier Carter Chambers LLC for an undisclosed amount. Carter Chambers serves the refining, paper, marine, power, engineering, construction, and petroleum industries. Desselle-Maggard was founded in 1984 and focuses primarily on the chemical and refining industries. PVI is the US-based subsidiary of Netherlands-based Pon Holdings. PVI says it will merge Carter Chambers, with Desselle-Maggard Corp., a Baton Rouge-industrial controls and instrumentation company that PVI acquired in 2008. PVI said the combined company will have 400 workers. PVI said it plans to expand the company over the next few years and expects to eventually create 75 to 100 jobs.
