Mokveld Valves BV has decided to establish new facilities for the production of its latest version of choke valves. With the head office and main manufacturing facility in The Netherlands, Mokveld positioned its 2nd factory in Malaysia, right in the middle of the Asia Pacific Oil & Gas industry and with a sufficient skilled workforce available. A suitable location was found in Shah Alam between Kuala Lumpur and Port Klang. Mokveld Malaysia Sdn Bhd is equipped specifically for the production and testing of choke valves and has been in operation with a Dutch management team since April 2009. Tailor made quality procedures and processes were implemented by the Malaysian QA staff in close cooperation with their Dutch colleagues. The compliance audit for ISO 9001:2008 by Lloyds Register Quality Assurance occurred in mid-January 2010. The subsequent audits to ISO/TS 29001, API 6A and PED are to be completed in the first half of 2010.
