Breakthrough valve introduced

The Type 514-519 High Flow Diaphragm Valve Series by GF Piping Systems is a uniquely designed valve that provides a true break-through for weir style valves. Featuring an optimized, turbulence-free flow geometry that offers significantly increased flow rate performance and lower energy consumption, the valves are suitable for applications where diaphragm valves were previously not considered due to flow restriction. The valve’s new flow geometry design provides linear flow and control characteristics that improve processing stability, and the Cv values double the traditional design, ranging from 3.9 to 116.8, depending on size and end connection. A self-draining feature achieves improved hygiene and better resistance to crystallizing fluids while minimizing dead space. The innovative design also does away with traditional metal bolts required to hold the valve together. The top-works are threaded directly onto the body, eliminating the need to re-torque the bolts due to thermal expansion. Corrosive build-up is minimized in applications with highly aggressive media because of the metal-free threaded bonnet connection. The Diaphragm Valve Series is available in PVC, CPVC, PP, PVDF, and ABS body materials in sizes ½”-2″ (with larger sizes available in the 314-319 Series). Diaphragms are available in EPDM, PTFE, FPM and NBR. The new valve series is suitable for extremely contaminated media, high purity liquids and media containing solids for a variety of applications from chemical process industry to microelectronics, water treatment, cooling and control.
