Curtiss-Wright Flow Control Co. has announced that Farris Engineering’s manufacturing facility in Tianjin, China has been awarded both the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) certification and the Chinese Special Quality License (CSQL), thus achieving two major milestones in its effort to serve the Chinese market requirements for pressure relief valves.
Farris Engineering, a business unit of Curtiss-Wright Flow Control, is based in Brecksville, Ohio. The Farris Tianjin plant’s production scope includes spring-loaded and pilot-operated pressure relief valves in sizes ranging from 1/2in to 8in inlet. ASME certification permits valves that are manufactured, set and tested at the Tianjin facility to be sold worldwide into markets that require ASME certification.
