LESER valves for KOC booster station

LESER Middle East has been awarded the contract to supply safety valves to Kuwait Oil Company’s new gas booster station (BS-171) in West Kuwait through the project’s main EPC contractor, Saipem India.

The contract covers the supply of more than 500 safety valves with pressure ratings of up to #1500 and special inconel trims. The majority of safety valves are LESER Type 526 with orifices D to Q. The project includes special testing and certification requirements.

The new booster station (BS-171) will comprise of three high and low-pressure gas trains to produce 234MCF a day of dry gas and 69,000bpd of condensate. The BS-171 contract will also cover a pipeline network from these units to the booster station and an intermediate slug catcher. The activities will be completed within the second quarter of 2013.

This is LESER Middle’s East’s second order from KOC for their booster station, as LESER has also supplied previously to the booster station BS 160.
