The AMOT 4420 Fuel Shut-off Valve was designed for gas turbines, with a close time of under 100 milliseconds and a special ‘vent’ port that reduces installation cost and time by eliminating the need for separate bleed valves.
These compact single-acting pneumatically actuated spring-return valves are ideal for turbine applications as they can be configured to relieve and vent pressure on the down-stream side upon shutdown. They can be used in hazardous areas.
Developed for use in manual and automatic control systems, they suit 10MW to 110MW turbines. They can also be used as starting air/gas bleed valves and unvented fuel/gas valves. They have Open/Closed position switch indication.
The shutoff is usually used alongside the AMOT 8402 gas turbine fuel regulating valve to provide a complete system control solution. It will accurately meter fuel to virtually any industrial or aero-derivative turbine, with a fast operating speed and large 500:1 turn-down ratio that allows a single unit to deliver fuel precisely from light off to maximum power.
