Acro-Torq releases true portable actuator range

The need for a truly portable actuator for the purpose of actuating valves in the field has been recognised by Acrodyne, culminating in the released of the Acro-Torq Portable Actuator range.
The use of one relatively low cost actuator to operate a number of valves compared to discrete, hard wired and direct coupled actuators for each valve has a distinct operational and economic advantages. This is due to the fact that one portable actuator can operate a host of valves especially where infrequent valve operation will not justify installation of a permanent actuator, or the provision of power source is impractical or uneconomical.

Operation of the actuator is simple and offers features such as speed control and is easily
reversible for opening and closing of valves. The Acro-Torq portable actuator can be adapted to almost any valve or gearbox combination by means of dedicated couplings. Torque control can be simply addressed by the inclusion of an Acro-Gears Aunspach torque limiter. In addition Acrodyne can also provide a range of gearboxes and other mounting and accessories to assist in the safe operation of this actuator.

There are three models available ranging from battery to the higher torque capacity 4 stroke petrol versions. The Acro-torq portable actuator is the first in the world to be tested, approved and certified by TUV (Germany) for specific use in the actuation of valves.
