United Conveyor Corporation (UCC) launched the 130DB Knife Gate Valve designed as a superior replacement to in-line, dome-type valves and traditional knife gate valves found in non-UCC systems.
The new 130DB Knife Gate Valve is a rugged and easy-to-maintain valve utilising proven UCC seat and blade technology. The two-piece ductile iron body and hardened ductile iron seats are engineered to handle higher pressures in pneumatic conveying applications. This valve is designed to provide extended wear life and reliable high-pressure sealing.
“The new 130DB Knife Gate Valve addresses two key customer requirements”, states Kevin McDonough, Director – Sales, North America. “The first is the need for superior sealing. The packing and seal arrangement has been engineered to reduce friction on the shaft for a pressure-tight seal. This reduces any potential for leakage out of the conveying line. The second need is to provide an easy to maintain alternative to existing high-cost line isolation valves.”
