Wärtsilä inaugurated its new electrical and automation test centre in Stord, Norway. The new facility is one of the largest test centres in Europe dedicated specifically to electrical and automation systems for marine and offshore applications. The facilities were inaugurated by Wärtsilä’s president and CEO, Björn Rosengren, together with Liv Kari Eskeland, the Mayor of Stord.
Norway is one of the leading maritime nations and the Norwegian offshore fleet is the world’s second-largest and most modern.
