New ASCO Numatics directional control valve series

ASCO Numatics has introduced its Numatics 501 Series directional control valve. The general-purpose automation valve is designed for directional control and piloting applications requiring compact size, high flow capability, and energy savings.

It has a pressure shut-off option that permits users to replace individual valves without stopping their production process, reducing line downtime and maintenance. The combination of the pressure regulator and the Numasizing engineering tool can reduce air and energy consumption. The valve’s modular design also permits easy configuration and modification. The new sub-base mounted valve is well suited for in-panel valve piloting applications. Its high flow rate, compact size and optional mounting plate enable efficient use of cabinet space. A dual three-way version enables the placement of two, three-way valves in the space of a four-way valve.

ASCO Numatics also has introduced an affordable electronics platform for the Numatics 501/503 Series valves. This new 580-node platform allows the use of a fieldbus network to control the valve manifold. Its compact footprint makes it highly functional for in-panel environments. The 580 platform incorporates a plain-language digital display and diagnostics that indicate status for easy configuration and commissioning.

The 501 Series directional control valve and 580 electronics platform are ideal for applications in the life science, food and beverage, high-technology and light packaging equipment industries.
