Arflu clears fugitive emission test

Arflu successfully carried out fugitive emission testing with helium in ball valves according to EN ISO 15848 standard. Arflu invested heavily in both measurement equipment and test benches to carry out the necessary tests and guarantee compliance with this standard UNE EN ISO 15848. Tests were performed both at high temperatures as well as temperatures below freezing.

UNE EN ISO 15845 standard uses the helium as verifier element. Helium is a gas with high volatility and stability. With an extremely small size molecule, this gas is suitable for detection and location of leaks; therefore, it is used to verify the sealing of the valve. With their refined design and high manufacturing quality, Arflu ball valves have successfully passed the test, ensuring that the gases flowing through them cannot be expelled to the atmosphere.
