Bashneft, Emerson sign memorandum of cooperation

Bashneft and Emerson Process Management have signed a long-term Memorandum of Cooperation on the development of systems for comprehensive automation of industrial facilities. The document was signed by Bashneft President Alexander Korsik and Nikolay Shestakov, vice president of Emerson Process Management and director general of LLC Emerson.

In accordance with the memorandum, cooperation with Emerson will include designing and manufacturing automated process control systems, valves, instrumentation and controls and supplying them to Bashneft’s enterprises and facilities, engineering, testing, adjusting and commissioning equipment, providing maintenance services for the supplied equipment during its operation and advising Bashneft’s specialists.

“Development of cooperation with Emerson is aimed at improving the quality of automation system designs, reducing the lead time for the delivery of equipment and cutting costs related to commissioning and operating new and renovated production facilities”, emphasised Korsik.

Over the years of fruitful cooperation with Bashneft we have developed a close partnership. By signing the memorandum, the companies have expressed their firm belief that early involvement in projects and collaboration will ensure Bashneft’s success in attaining its ambitious goals”, commented Shestakov.
