Knife gate with high-chrome iron inserts launched

Lined Valve Company launched a new knife gate valve designed specifically for the coal and mining market. The valves incorporate high-chrome iron inserts for longer lasting working life in these harsh and abrasive applications.

Jeff Bowman, general manager and vice president of Lined Valve Company clarified: “This robust urethane lined valve features a one-piece, moulded in place full body liner and integral 650 Brinell hardness high-chrome iron inserts. This valve is a great addition to the wide range of knife gates we offer, now adding the specific needs of bottom ash and mining tailings.”

With a heavy-duty cast iron body and yoke, and a stainless steel gate and stem, the Figure 75 provides corrosion resistance and durability. The superior packing arrangement provides improved sealing performance in high cycle applications, and a full packing seal around the gate minimises the potential for packing leakage. Urethane liner and high-chrome iron inserts provide bi-directional bubble tight seal across gate from 0 to 150 PSI. Its stainless steel gate and stem provide corrosion resistance and durability. The Figure 75 is built to MSS SP-81 certification and is available in standard sizes 2″–24” with custom sizes available for manufacture in the Woodland, WA factory.
