Eltacon is supplying mixing units to Poland to mix low- and high-calorific gas for turbine applications as economical solution. The turnkey combined cycle power plant in Gorzów, Poland, will have an installed capacity of 138MW (electrical) and 90MW (thermal). Two large gas turbines are fed by fuel gas treatment units upstream the GT’s, delivered by Eltacon engineering.
The treatment units consist of one gas receiving station and two gas mixing skids. The gas receiving station is used to remove condensate from local available low calorific gas. The mixing skids are used to mix the filtered low calorific gas with clean high calorific gas, suitable for gas turbine operation. The mixing skids are provided with control valves and flowmeters including all required isolating and maintenance valves to ensure easy operation.
The instruments of both units are installed in heated cabinets to safeguard the instruments against low ambient temperatures. The mixer itself is designed in such a way that optimal mixing turbulence is created without having excessive pressure drop. Sizing of the mixers, controls and complete engineering of the packages has been done by Eltacon.
