Control valve engineering specialist Severn Glocon Group has acquired a majority shareholding in A-T Armaturen-Technik.
Now trading as Severn A-T Armaturen, the business is a market leader in engineered valves for thermal power applications such as turbine bypass and feedwater heater bypass. It specialises in severe service control valves and special high-pressure isolation valves. The firm has more than 45 years’ experience in the sector and all valves meet strict regulations of the German Industrial Safety Authority (TUV). Its products complement Severn Glocon Group’s existing portfolio of valves and advanced engineering services, strengthening and extending the Group’s power industry offering.
Following the acquisition, Severn Glocon Group appointed Peter Borzsony as general manager for its overall power business. He brings more than three decades’ experience in the power industry coupled with a longstanding specialisation in control valves. Borzsony is responsible for driving the Severn A-T Armaturen business forward, using it to spearhead expansion of Severn Glocon Group’s power industry market share. A-T Armaturen-Technik’s former managing director, Manfred Leufgen, continues to work with the business as a consultant.
