Jacobs Vehicle Systems®, the global manufacturer of diesel and natural gas engine retarding systems and valve actuation mechanisms has launched a compression release engine retarder for the Isuzu 6UZ1 heavy duty engine.
The collaborative effort between Isuzu’s and Jacobs’ engineers resulted in the development of a powerful and reliable compression release brake which enhanced the performance of Isuzu’s engine while reducing the truck’s total cost of ownership. The Isuzu 6UZ1 engine with the Jacobs Engine Brake® is now available in Japan on the GIGA series of heavy duty trucks that employs Isuzu’s next generation D-CORE diesel engines.
