KBR, Inc. has been awarded a multi-phased contract for FEED for the Woodfibre LNG project, located in the District of Squamish near Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
Under the terms of the contract, KBR’s Houston office will provide FEED services for the proposed 2.1 MTPA liquefaction plant and export facility. This work will include FEED optimization, pre-FEED, FEED, and development of a fixed price offer for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services.
Byng Giraud, country manager and vice president of Woodfibre LNG Limited, the privately held Canadian company behind the Woodfibre LNG Project said: “The award of the FEED contract to KBR ensures the Woodfibre LNG Project is engineered and designed to world-class standards, and marks another important step towards making the project a reality.”
The contract is multi-phased and the first phase will be booked into backlog of unfilled orders for KBR’s E&C business segment the first quarter of 2016.
